SC resumes hearing of Karachi violence case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday resumed the hearing of the suo motu case on the killings in Karachi.

Special security arrangements were made for the day and roads leading to the Supreme Court’s Karachi registry had been blocked.
The special bench includes Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, Justice Shakirullah Jan, Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Tariq Parvez and Justice Ghulam Rabbani.
On Friday, the chief justice had announced that the bench would go to Karachi and would begin hearing the case from Monday and said, “we have to settle this matter once and for all if we want to save the country”.
